MyGamingPC.ai helps people find a gaming PC. This page says who it is for, what our chat is, and what to do if something goes wrong. It is short and in plain English.
For ages 13 and up
MyGamingPC.ai is for people 13 and older. If you are under 13, please do not use the chat, sign in or enter your email: ask a parent or guardian to use the site with you. We do not knowingly keep information from anyone under 13; if we learn that we have, we delete it. Parents and guardians: email justin@mygamingpc.ai and we will remove it. The giveaway, when one runs, has its own rule (18 and older, by law).
The chat is an AI
Every answer in the chat is written by an AI from our own price and FPS data and is labeled “AI answer”. It is not a person. It can be wrong or out of date: always confirm the price and the specs at the store. It never asks for your name, phone number, address, school or photos, never offers to meet, call or message you anywhere else, and never sends you to another chat. If a message in the chat does any of that, it did not come from us: report it below.
How messages are checked
Before the AI sees a message, a rule-based check looks for a few things: someone saying they are under 13, words about hurting themselves or someone else, sexual content, and requests for contact details. Those messages get a short, fixed answer instead of an AI answer, with where to get help, and are logged for the owner to review the next morning (a short excerpt with email addresses and phone numbers removed, never your IP address). The check is narrow on purpose: a parent, grandparent, teacher or gift buyer asking for a PC for a 10-year-old is a shopper and always gets real picks, and “12 GB” is a graphics card. Messages are stored for up to 90 days with personal details removed, as the privacy policy says. A question sent with “Ask Justin” gets the same check first, and one it stops is not kept.
