Privacy policy

MyGamingPC.ai is made by Justin Wyatt (Just!N Tech). This page says what we store about you and what we do with it. The short version: very little, and we never sell it.

The newsletter form

If you sign up for deal emails, we store:

• your email address,
• the target budget you picked (or that you are not sure yet),
• which page the form was on, and when you signed up,
• a salted hash of your IP address, used only to stop one visitor from adding many addresses, and deleted after 30 days. The IP address itself is not stored.

We use your email only to send you gaming PC deals. We send those emails with Kit (kit.com), our newsletter service, which gets your email address, your target budget and the page you signed up on. Every email has a link to unsubscribe. Signing up again with the same address changes nothing.

Clicks on Buy buttons

A click on a Buy button records the PC, what you asked for (budget, resolution and game), the page it came from, your browser type and a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself and nothing that names you. See the affiliate disclosure for why. After the click, the store's own privacy policy applies.

The chat

Our chat is answered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic: what you type is sent to Anthropic so the chat can answer, and to our API to look up PCs.

We store chat messages for up to 90 days to improve our recommendations, with email addresses and phone numbers (and anything that looks like a card or account number) removed first, and then delete them. We also note what the conversation was about (budget, resolution, games and the PCs it showed) and whether you clicked one, and count messages per visitor with a salted hash of your IP address to stop abuse. Chat messages are never sold.

Until our own chat is switched on, the chat on this site may be run by Voiceflow instead, which receives what you type in the same way. Either way, please don't type personal information into it.

What we never do

We don't sell, rent or trade your data, and we don't share your email with stores or brands.
