How the advisor works
- Today's FPS comes from Justin's own benchmarks of complete PCs: measured when he ran your card in that game, otherwise estimated from the cards he tested closest to it, and always labeled as such.
- The bottleneck uses the same rule as our PC rankings: a CPU class that would hold a graphics card back. When your CPU is the bottleneck, we say which CPU class to move to instead of selling you a card.
- The upgrades are the faster graphics cards in the PCs for sale today that your CPU can keep up with, with the FPS each adds in your PC.
- Or a new PC: the best-value prebuilt at your budget, so you can compare upgrading the card with replacing the whole box.
Type the CPU and card the way their boxes or Windows name them, like i5-12400F or Ryzen 5 5600X, and RTX 3060 or RX 6700 XT.
