What matters

Graphics card: NVIDIA cards are preferred, since Link, Air Link and Virtual Desktop stream through the card's video encoder. An RTX 5060 is entry level; an RTX 5070 or 5070 Ti is what we'd get for Half-Life: Alyx and VRChat. (our advice)
Graphics card: Meta's recommended specs for Link name an NVIDIA RTX 20 series or AMD Radeon RX 6000 series card (not the RTX 2050). Intel Arc cards are not supported. (Meta, checked 2026-10-01)
Video memory: The entry RTX 5060 has 8GB; the RTX 5070 has 12GB and the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB. (our advice)
CPU: Meta recommends an Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7; its minimum is an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X. (Meta, checked 2026-10-01)
RAM: Get 32GB of RAM for VRChat. Meta's recommended specs say 16GB. (our advice)
Connection: A Quest connects to a PC by a Link cable or over Wi-Fi with Air Link or Virtual Desktop. For wireless play, a Wi-Fi 6 or 6E router. (our advice)
Connection: Link needs a USB port (Meta recommends USB-C) and a good USB cable that carries data and power. Air Link wants a 5 GHz network on an AC or AX router, with the PC connected to the router by an Ethernet cable. (Meta, checked 2026-10-01)
